Modifying an Existing Search Space

You can modify some of the settings of any existing search space. To do so you need to open the Configuration section on the GraphSearch Admin Dashboard.

When you click on one of the displayed search spaces and then on Configuration you will see all the configuration details of the selected search space.

Here you can modify the desired settings. Any grayed out settings cannot be edited.

Tip

In the right top corner of this section you see either a green text saying Extraction Model is UP (4a) or red text saying Create Extraction Model. The extraction model is required to be able to perform any search operations.

1	Server details	You see here the PoolParty server instance you are connected to and information whether this connection is active or not. The green icon UP (1a) indicates an active connection.
2	Tabs with available search spaces	Each configured search space is represented as an individual tab. If you want to add a new search space click on the + icon located at the end of this list.
3	Available menu items	The selected search space has the following operations selectable: Bin icon - allowing you to permanently delete the selected search space * icon - allowing you to set this search space as a default; not shown when the selected search space is already set as default Refresh Cashes - allows to refresh the cache after having made changes to the configuration and load new data into the cache New Chart - allows you to add a chart; opens a new window where you can specify the chart settings; this feature has been deprecated and is no longer supported New Mapping - use this menu to add a new mapping. It opens a new window where you can specify the details. A mapping can be a title, image or description New Custom Field - use this menu to add a custom field; opens a new window where you can specify the details; only relevant for index-based search spaces where fields refer to data representations of RDF data (storage format of thesauri and custom schemes New RSS Agent - allows you to add an RSS agent; opens a new window where you can specify the URL of the RSS feed; the new agent will be instantly enabled Delete Index - click on it if you want to delete the index, only applicable for index-based search spaces Export Index - click on it if you intend to download the zipped index called `graphsearch_corpus.zip`; only applicable for index-based search spaces Choose file - opens a new window where you can select a zip file created using the Export Index button; only applicable for index-based search spaces
4	The open Configuration section	Here you see all the settings configured for the selected search space; entries with gray background cannot be modified. Search Space ID - a unique ID required for certain system operations which is automatically created Facet Models - lists all relevant facets to be used when displaying search results; it can be a custom scheme or thesaurus set as the basis for the search application Graph Contexts - not editable; only relevant for RDF graphs Default language - a pulldown where you can set the default language for search; depends on languages defined in thesauri or custom schemes Search Server Type - not editable; always shows Elasticsearch Facets Per Field - specify here the number of facets to be shown when displaying search results Horizontal alignment - enter here the details on the horizontal alignment, relevant for charts; this setting has been deprecated and is no longer supported Proposal Plugins - a pulldown with two options; either Defaults disabled or Defaults enabled; this setting has been deprecated and is no longer supported Search Space Name - editable; always specify a meaningful name allowing all users to clearly identify the search space Document Models - here you can select all desired models that are to be used for this search space; a document model is based on one or more custom schemes or thesauri Search Space Access - a pulldown with two selectable options; PRIVATE and PUBLIC Available languages - a list of all languages available for the search space; not editable as it is determined by the language(s) set for the selected thesauri or custom schemes Search Server Name - name of the server; not editable Default View - a pulldown with three options; List, Table, Grid; to specify the default display of the search results; this setting has been deprecated and is no longer supported Vertical Alignment - enter here the details on the vertical alignment, relevant for charts; this setting has been deprecated and is no longer supported Entity Sorting - a pulldown with two values - Sorting enabled and Sorting disabled; only relevant for RDF search spaces; entries are sorted alphabetically when enabled
5	The Update button	If you made any changes to the modifiable settings, use this button to apply changes.
