PoolParty Overview
This chapter summarizes everything you need to know before you start with PoolParty. Get an overview of its UI, information on the structure of the stored data, and access to our white papers.
The PoolParty Semantic Suite is a comprehensive middleware software. It includes browser-based taxonomy management, thesaurus management, linked data, ontology management, corpus management, extraction and a Semantic Middleware Configurator.
Note
Please note that the address bar of your browser always shows the precise location within the PoolParty application.
This allows you to navigate PoolParty using the browser arrow keys. It also allows you to copy the URL and restart the application on a different computer or browser and continue exactly where you left off. Moreover, you can also refresh the PoolParty page using the Refresh key. If you navigate PoolParty using the browser keys after having opened a project, this operation will not close the project. However, if you open a second project while another project is already opened, the Back Arrow key will not take you back to the original project since that project was closed when you opened the second one.
Keep in mind that a user will only be able to access projects to which they have been granted access to. If they try opening a project without having the appropriate access rights, an error page will be displayed in the browser instead.
